The Production Artist is responsible for building ready-for-print files and performing high-volume path creation and mask selection. They must adhere to departmental SOPs and collaborate with project managers and leads to ensure high-quality lithographic pre-production.
Candidates need a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in prepress or a related publishing field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and a strong understanding of print industry standards, including bleed and color separation, are required.
SUMMARY Overview of the position
Production Artist (Graphic Requisitions Team) is an intermediate level position; the candidate is expected to possess competent abilities in building ready-for-print files and assembly skills. Will be expected to learn color correction, any skills in this area are a plus. Must possess ability to focus and have a high level of attention to details. Effective communication skills are necessary. There will be interactions between different departments and personnel to achieve a successful project.

INTERACTION
This position will interact closely with the Senior Production Artist Requisitions Lead, Senior Production Artists, Project Managers, Photo and Type Editors, colleagues, and other related staff.
