Job Title: Founders Associate
Job Type: Full time; permanent
Salary: EUR65K – EUR75K annually
About the Role
This is a role of agility. You are the right hand to the founders, and the defining characteristic
of the job is range: you will pick up multiple disconnected pieces of work at once, moving
between support and delivery as the week demands, and you will context-switch across
domains that have no department behind them yet. The work falls into four areas: Founder
Leverage; Capital; Building the Company and Representation. The mix across these four
areas shifts weekly, and the person in this role shifts with it. Some weeks are strategic, some
are logistical, and most are both.
About Uplift360
Uplift360 is an Advanced Materials Company securing sovereign supply for Europe’s defence,
security and vital industries.
We secure and produce critical advanced materials, including carbon fibre and aramids, for
European defence and industry by sourcing, recovering and regenerating high-value materials
into secure industrial supply chains.
As geopolitical instability, supply chain fragility and industrial competition intensify, access to
advanced materials is becoming a defining strategic advantage.
Uplift360 is building the infrastructure and technology required to secure it.
As a Founders Associate, your key accountabilities will include:
Founder leverage
• Act as a thought partner: take a founder's early idea, pressure test it, and return a
structured plan or a first draft within a day or two.
• Produce decision support: research, analysis and briefing papers that let the founders
move faster on markets, partners and negotiations.
• Run the executive engine: founder diaries, travel, inbox and board cadence, held reliably
alongside everything above.
Capital
• Drive Series A readiness: build and maintain the data room, coordinate due diligence, run
investor scheduling and keep investor relations warm between raises.
• Produce pitch materials, investor updates and board papers at a standard the founders can
send with light edits.
• Support grant and non-dilutive funding applications alongside our active programmes.
Building the company
• Ideate, test and develop new processes, working with department leads and across teams.
• Research new and effective tools and AI integrations.
• Support follow-through for the founders on reporting, metrics, systems and meeting
processes.
• Deliver special projects that have no owner yet, from market entry research to event
launches, and hand them off as the team grows.
Representation
• Represent the founders with contractors, advisers and partners, keeping relationships
warm and workstreams moving between founder touchpoints.
• Run events end to end and support our presence at government and industry forums.
• Act as connective tissue across a company split between Luxembourg and Bristol, spotting
the dots that need joining and joining them.
These key accountabilities listed above describes an overview of the post and is not intended
to be exhaustive. The job holder is expected to accept reasonable additional tasks of similar
level that may be necessary and not listed.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Personal Qualities:
• Two to four years of demonstrable top performance in a demanding environment:
strategy consulting, investment banking, venture capital, a scaling startup, or military
or government service.
• Someone who takes the initiative, generates ideas constantly, and acts on the best
ones. You have a record of starting things and delivering them without being asked.
• Ambitious. You want responsibility early and you grow into it fast.
• Digital native and confident with AI. You use AI tools daily and build workflows that
multiply your output and the team's.
• Exceptional writing, produced fast, at a standard suitable for investors, boards and
