You will provide physical education classes across multiple school locations while stimulating child development through the 'Sport to Grow' method. Additionally, you will participate in sports events, support internal projects, and contribute to the Ubuntu Sport Academy.
You must hold a completed ALO (Physical Education Teacher) degree and possess a passion for working with children. Excellent command of the Dutch language is essential for effective communication and safety instruction.
Als Ubuntu Gymdocent kan je meer dan enkel en alleen lesgeven. Je zet sport in om bewegen voor ieder kind toegankelijk en leuk te maken. Sport is voor ons het middel om ontwikkeling te stimuleren. Je werkt in een omgeving waarin sport vanzelfsprekend is en waarin jij als gymdocent echt het verschil maakt.
Je hebt al ervaring als gymdocent of hebt jouw ALO-opleiding net afgerond en bent toe aan een volgende stap. Je wilt werken vanuit een duidelijke aanpak, jezelf verder ontwikkelen en vooral meer uitdaging uit jouw werkweken halen. Bij Ubuntu Sport werk je vanuit een gedeelde visie en zorgen wij dat jij dagelijks kunt doen waar je goed in bent: werken met sport en ontwikkeling.
Je gaat gymles geven op scholen. Die doe je op meerdere locaties en bij verschillende opdrachtgevers. De ene dag werk je op de ene school en de volgende dag bij een andere school. Daarnaast liggen er mogelijkheden om meer te doen dan alleen lesgeven.. Je krijgt ook de kans om jezelf in te zetten op Ubuntu Sport events, sportactiviteiten buiten schooltijd en het verzorgen van opleidingen vanuit de Ubuntu Sport Academy.
Je week is vooraf gepland en afgestemd op jouw beschikbaarheid. Je werkt op vaste momenten op scholen en weet waar je aan toe bent. Wij zorgen dat je planning klopt, zodat jij je kunt focussen op het werk.
Sport to Grow is onze eigen unieke methode, waarmee wij de ontwikkeling van kinderen gericht stimuleren. Sport is daarbij het middel om mensen te helpen groeien, niet het doel op zich. Vanuit een positief sportklimaat werk je aan zelfvertrouwen, sociale vaardigheden en persoonlijke ontwikkeling. Respect, veiligheid en vertrouwen vormen de basis. Vanuit daar ontstaat plezier, volgt ontwikkeling en komen prestaties vanzelf.
Je hebt al een basis en bouwt daar bij ons verder op door. Je blijft gymles geven en groepen begeleiden, maar pakt daarnaast steeds meer verantwoordelijkheid. Denk aan het verzorgen van opleidingen, het begeleiden van collega’s, het meedenken op locaties en het ondersteunen binnen Ubuntu Sport projecten.
In die ontwikkeling word je ondersteund door ons Academy team. Je volgt opleidingen en wordt onderdeel van onze opleidingspiramide, zodat je de Sport to Grow aanpak volledig in de vingers krijgt. Daarnaast word je één op één begeleid en kun je terecht bij een Academy Coach voor vragen, tips en praktische handvatten. Alles met als doel dat jij het verschil maakt in jouw rol, bij onze partners en voor de doelgroep.
Je beschikt over een afgeronde ALO-opleiding.
Je hebt plezier in het werken met kinderen en sportliefhebber
Voor deze functie is een uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse taal essentieel. Dit is nodig om effectief te communiceren met leerlingen, ouders en collega’s en om veiligheidsinstructies duidelijk over te brengen.

We put our vision into practice with our unique Sport to Grow coaching approach: - Ubuntu Sport Professionals: We enable sportprofessionals to find a (fulltime) job, as employer and employment agency in sports, education, daycare and other partners - Coach Academy: We develop coaching skills with our courses for trainers, for clubs subsidized by NOC*NSF and endorsed by KNVB. - Ubuntu Sport Events: At our inspiring sports events, kids have a great time and develop their sports & life skills. - Ubuntu Sport at Work: We help companies and other employers to engage, motivate and vitalize their employees with our teamdevelopment, teambuilding and vitality programms. - Ubuntu Sport Foundation: We make the power of sports accessible for chronically ill children and children growing up in poverty. In order to make impact we partner with: - in sports: FC Utrecht, Sparta Rotterdam, Vitesse, SC Heerenveen, de Graafschap, and many local football and hockey clubs, - in daycare: Partou, Kind & Co Ludens, SKBNM, and many local daycare locations, - in education: SPO, PCOU, PON, and many local schools, - in general: Right to Play, Wilhelmina Kinderziekenhuis and many more impactful partners.
