Drivability Line Technician Job Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair drivability issues including engine performance, emissions, fuel systems, and electronic controls on GM vehicles
Utilize advanced OEM diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex vehicle systems
Perform thorough vehicle inspections and provide clear repair recommendations
Collaborate with service advisors to communicate findings, repair options, and timelines
Keep current with GM technical bulletins, service updates, and factory training programs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety standards
Document all work accurately to support service records and warranty requirements

Drivability Line Technician Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $50.00 to $60.00 flat rate per hour, with up to 125 billable hours guaranteed per pay period.

QualificationsDrivability Line Technicians Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience specializing in drivability diagnostics and repairs on GM vehicles or similar makes
GM drivability certifications or equivalent technical training preferred
Proficient in using OEM diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and software to troubleshoot engine, emissions, fuel, and electronic control systems
Strong understanding of engine management systems, fuel injection, ignition, and emission control systems
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to accurately diagnose complex drivability issues
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with service advisors, team members, and customers
Commitment to ongoing training and professional development to stay current with evolving GM technologies

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
