Position Summary
The Director of Business Systems & Technology is responsible for the company's technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems, data analytics, and IT support operations. This role ensures that technology platforms are secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives while providing leadership in enterprise applications, cloud services, and business intelligence. The Director works closely with executive leadership and department managers to improve operational efficiency, support business growth, and deliver meaningful insights through reporting and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership
Develop and execute the company's IT strategy and roadmap.
Manage IT budgets, vendors, contracts, and technology investments.
Establish IT policies, standards, and best practices.
Provide technology recommendations and risk assessments to leadership.
Infrastructure & Security
Oversee networks, cloud services, data center operations, backups, and disaster recovery.
Manage the company's Azure environment and hosting platforms.
Lead cybersecurity initiatives, compliance activities, and security awareness programs.
Ensure business continuity and system reliability
Business Systems & Applications
Own and support core business applications, including Salesforce, Business Central, Power BI, and internal web applications.
Manage system integrations, upgrades, and vendor relationships.
Ensure data integrity, application performance, and user adoption.
Support development and integration teams in maintaining scalable business solutions.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Lead the organization's reporting and analytics strategy.
Manage Power BI dashboards, datasets, security, and reporting standards.
Partner with business leaders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
Deliver accurate, timely dashboards and insights that support decision-making.
Promote data governance and reporting consistency across the organization.
IT Operations & Support
Oversee IT asset management, equipment provisioning, and helpdesk operations.
Establish service levels and performance metrics for IT support.
Ensure responsive support for employees across all departments.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
8–10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
Experience managing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and enterprise business systems.
Experience with ERP, CRM, and business intelligence platforms, including Business Central, Salesforce, and Power BI.
Experience leading teams, managing vendors, and delivering technology initiatives.
