The Produce Manager oversees the daily operations, profitability, and staffing of the produce department while ensuring high standards of freshness and customer service. Responsibilities include inventory ordering, merchandising, and fulfilling Manager on Duty (MOD) obligations.
Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma and 1-2 years of experience in retail or produce environments, specifically in a supervisory role. Candidates must be able to obtain forklift certification and pass required food safety training.
The Produce Manager is responsible for the successful operation and profitability of the produce department which includes training, directing and monitoring all department staff. Department Managers are responsible for the success of their own department and are required to fulfill the duties of the Manager on Duty (MOD) on a scheduled basis.
