Clean and refurbish new and returned orchestral string instruments and cases to prepare them for rent or sale. Identify necessary repairs, replace accessories, and restock prepared items in the warehouse.
Candidates must have experience playing orchestral string instruments. On-the-job training is provided for the repair tasks.

Menchey Music Service has been serving its students, parents, and music educators and providing support to local school music programs since 1936. Our mission is to provide the highest quality musical products, services, and education to our students and customers.
Our repair shop plays a vital role in serving our community, and we want you to be part of our team! If you have experience with string instruments, we'd love to speak with you! Our string instrument repair assistants work over the summer to clean and refurbish returned and new instruments to get ready to rent or sell.
This position is for our Operations Center in Hanover, PA. This is a temporary position and will be located at our Operations Center in Hanover, PA. We are looking for people who can work daytime hours, 3-5 days per week, during the months of August through October.

From our headquarters in Hanover, PA, we have expanded to serve our neighbors in Central Pennsylvania and Maryland from our 8 locations. We rent and sell band and orchestral instruments, including percussion, woodwinds, brass, and strings. Renting an instrument is a popular way for parents to let their child try several instruments before settling on one. With our instrument rental program, 100% of your payments apply towards purchase. Maintenance and replacement protection is an option in the rental, giving you peace of mind in case the instrument gets lost, damaged, or stolen. We also offer private music lessons out of all 8 locations. They each host personalized music lessons by qualified, skilled instructors. Flexible scheduling and lessons that adapt for students of all ages and skill levels means that you can receive proper music instruction at your level when you want it. Visit one of our store to browse our piano gallery, shop for instruments and equipment – including guitars, amps, and audio gear – order popular sheet music, and pick up reeds, strings, picks, and other musical accessories.
