Come join our team of inspectors with the Air Quality Department, where you will assistthe Air Quality Departmentin providing clean air for the residents of Maricopa. The Air Quality Inspectoris a field-based regulatory compliance position responsible for inspectingvarious sourcesfrom construction sites to industrial and commercial operationsto determine compliance with air quality laws, rules, regulations, and permit conditions. This role involves traveling to complaint and inspection sites to observe operations, review records, document findings, and communicate with facility representativesto ensurecompliance with applicable legal and permit requirements.

Advises and educates the public and industry about environmental air quality issues, regulations, policies, safety, and compliance
Reviews and comments on proposed permit conditions for applicability and enforceability. Reviews and comments on standard operating procedures,help sheets,templates,and other materials as requested
Working Conditions
Work will occur in an office and field environment. While performing the duties & responsibilities, the employee may be exposed to loud noise, noxious odors, unsanitary conditions, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and other related conditions and situations
This position is subject to atmospheric conditions: Fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
May be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness/humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and vibration
Some inspections/observations/complaints require working occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work outdoors during periods of high temperatures, including days when temperatures exceed 110°
Hybrid and alternative work schedule options may be available after six months based on business needs
