Full job description

At Logisnext UK, we don’t just move equipment, we keep businesses moving. As a leading provider of materials handling solutions, we support customers across the UK with high-quality products, expert service and a commitment to doing things the right way.

What sets us apart is our people. We’re a collaborative, hands-on team that works together to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. Whether you’re working in the warehouse, workshop or out in the field, you’ll be part of a supportive environment where your contribution genuinely matters.

We’re also passionate about continuous improvement—always looking for better ways to work, smarter processes and higher standards. If you take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a team, and want to make a real impact, you’ll fit right in.

In this key role, the Workshop Operative plays a vital part in keeping operations running smoothly. You will take ownership of the safe and efficient loading and unloading of our materials handling equipment (MHE), ensuring everything is in the right place at the right time.

Working closely with the workshop engineering team, you’ll help keep trucks and cabs moving through the process—minimising downtime and supporting engineers to stay productive during busy periods. You will also collaborate with management on a variety of warehouse-based projects, contributing to continuous improvement across the operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the flow of inbound and outbound shipments, including sorting, loading and unloading goods
  • Ensure all items are stored correctly and safely within the warehouse
  • Allocate and organise space effectively for trucks, parts and masts
  • Process goods received promptly, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and submitted to the office in a timely manner
  • Deliver requested goods correctly and flag any discrepancies or quality issues to the relevant teams
  • Conduct regular stock checks across MHE, batteries, chargers, masts and cab kits, maintaining accurate system records
  • Inspect equipment and batteries, reporting any issues (EIS) and clearly documenting them on the trucks
  • Take pre-loading photos of each truck, uploading and maintaining records within the system
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across warehouse areas
  • Receive and unpack parts deliveries, notifying the parts department and ensuring items are correctly labelled and stored
  • Support ad hoc projects and additional tasks as required

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in doing a great job. Ideally, you will bring:

    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively
    • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Good IT skills, with the ability to work confidently with warehouse systems
    • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
    • A valid forklift licence and full driving licence
    • Experience or confidence in booking in MHE and cab deliveries onto internal systems
    • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
    • A willingness to learn and develop new skills as part of a growing team
    • The ability to multitask and stay focused under pressure
    • A positive, “can-do” attitude and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement

We offer a great benefits package including:

- Take advantage of 25 days of holiday (which increases to 30 after 5 years with us), plus bank holidays, and the flexibility to sell back or purchase additional holiday days

- Join our contributory pension scheme for your future savings

- Private health scheme

- Income protection plan

- Subsidised gym membership
