The Consulting Leader acts as the Solution Owner and Engagement Lead, translating high-level business opportunities into executable data and AI project plans. They supervise Delivery Managers and oversee the full SDLC to ensure client value and revenue targets are met.
Candidates need 8-10+ years of experience in technical program management or IT consulting with strong fluency in data platforms and AI landscapes. Experience in Financial Services and a proven track record of managing large-scale SDLC programs are highly preferred.
The Consulting Director operates as the ultimate Solution Owner and Engagement Lead for a portfolio of data and AI projects. Positioned between our commercial teams (Account Executives/Client Partners) and technical delivery teams, you will take high-level customer opportunities and shape them into concrete, executable project plans.
This role is ideal for a strong program leader who thrives in the data/AI space—acting as "the most technical person of the non-technical team, and the least technical person of the technical team." You will supervise the Delivery Managers running day-to-day operations, ensuring that the initial strategic vision is successfully executed to drive client value and secure recurring revenue.
Translate Opportunity to Execution: Partner with Client Partners and Technologists to take defined technical solutions and build concrete project plans, proposals, and execution roadmaps.
Bridge the Strategy Gap: Successfully translate high-level business objectives into structured, multi-workstream data engineering and AI initiatives.
Team Supervision: Directly manage and mentor a team of Delivery Managers who handle day-to-day project management and client communication.
Full SDLC Oversight: Oversee multiple complex workstreams across the data lifecycle (e.g., data warehouse migrations, platform modernizations, agentic AI/LLM implementations).
Escalation & Health: Serve as the ultimate escalation point for delivery hurdles, managing overall engagement health, risk mitigation, and executive client satisfaction.
Revenue Realization: Own the health of project delivery to directly hit portfolio revenue targets (realized revenue based on successful delivery milestones).
Tenure: 8–10+ years of experience in technical program management, professional services, or IT consulting delivery leadership.
Technical Breadth: Strong foundational knowledge of data pipelines, modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), and emerging AI landscapes (LLMs, multi-flow agents). Hands-on coding is not required, but technical fluency is mandatory.
Methodology: Proven track record managing large-scale, full software development life cycle (SDLC) programs.
Industry Focus: Financial Services experience is highly preferred, though top-tier enterprise program experience in other fast-paced sectors will be considered.
The "Translator": Ability to confidently discuss project execution metrics with delivery teams and high-level strategy with client executives.
