IDS International is looking for a full-time Armed Security Guard to support our contract overseeing the Truman Presidential Library in Independence, Missouri and will report to our Program Manager.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a high level of visibility at all times and surveil visitors in the Library and Museum for suspicious activities.
Patrol the interior and exterior of the facility, as well as monitor a closed-circuit television feed to prevent unauthorized access and limit other incidents.
Secure and monitor access points during hours of operation, search bags as needed and monitor visitors throughout the facility.
Guards will register guests into the research room and ensure rules and protocols are followed.
When required, detain violators and prepare detailed incident reports.
Attend and provide security during special events and VIP visits involving high profile government officials.
Required Qualifications:
Be a citizen of the United States AND be at least 21 years of age
Have the ability to pass all pre-employment physicals and testing as the job requires standing for extended periods of time
Received a minimum high school diploma or GED
Three years of military, security or law enforcement experience within the last 5 years
Applicants should be proficient with firearms and pass a firearms qualification course
Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Night shift
