The Shop Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service shop, ensuring that all service work is performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves supervising a team of service technicians, scheduling and assigning tasks, managing performance, and implementing continuous improvements to optimize shop productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of shop service technicians, ensuring tasks are completed on time
Monitor and improve the performance of the shop, identifying areas for efficiency gains, cost reductions, and improved quality of service
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, promoting a safe work environment for all team members.
Support the department in achieving its planned goals and budget targets
Develop work schedules and assign personnel to specific tasks based on skill set, workload, and priorities.
Ensure that all service work is documented accurately, including service reports, parts used, labor hours, and completed tasks.
Collaborate with the customer service and parts departments to ensure smooth coordination of service work and customer satisfaction.
Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns related to service quality or delays.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training or certifications related to equipment service is a plus)
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team of technicians
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address issues that arise in the shop
Proven ability to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and quality within a service environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and customers.
Strong organizational skills to manage scheduling, task assignments, and inventory
Experience in a supervisory or management role within a service or repair shop environment (preferred)
