The Farro Ambassador is responsible for ensuring smooth store operations and delivering exceptional customer service on the shop floor. They will also support merchandising, product displays, and in-store tastings while upholding food safety and store standards.
Candidates should have previous experience in retail or hospitality and a genuine passion for high-quality food. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and knowledge of food safety and stock handling processes are required.

As a Farro Ambassador, you’ll play a key role on the shop floor. You will ensure smooth store operations, and lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service. Your work will support our promises to our employees, customers, producers, and communities – all while making each visit to Farro a joyful one.
What You’ll Do:
• Deliver exceptional customer service and inspire customers with your food knowledge
• Support merchandising and product displays that drive engagement and sales
• Lead by example in upholding food safety, health & safety, and store standards
• Support in-store tastings and community initiatives
• Contribute to commercial success by reducing waste and maintaining stock accuracy
What You’ll Bring:
• A genuine passion for great food and customer experiences
• Calm, confident, and collaborative approach – even under pressure
• Experience in retail/hospitality
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Knowledge of food safety, retail operations, and stock handling processes

Farro is a New Zealand-owned and operated business, founded in 2006 by Janene and James Draper. The duo had a desire to create a retail space that showcased the very best and finest of New Zealand food. The foundations of the Farro brand were formed in a storefront on Lunn Ave, Mt Wellington. What was then just a team of 12 has now grown to over 300 in 6 different stores across Auckland – Epsom, Grey Lynn, Mt Eden, Mt Wellington, North Shore and Orakei. At Farro, we like to make your grocery shopping an experience, not a chore and aim to provide our customers with a retail experience that ignites the senses. Our team takes the job of selection for our shelves very seriously and works to provide food that also reflects our own desires – free from artificial ingredients, high quality, provides value and of course, delicious. The entire team at Farro love to cook and are constantly being inspired by new ingredients, new ideas and exciting recipes. We commit to sharing that inspiration with our shoppers. We provide seasonal recipes, across the store, that tie in with our monthly themes and through Feast – our in-house-designed magazine, which is a showcase of everything great for the month ahead at Farro.
