In 1955, Evripidis Vassilopoulos founded the first Evripidis Bookstore in the northern suburb of Athens, Chalandri. Today, the two children of the founder, Theodore and Kyriaki run the business. In 1998, a second bookstore opened under the name of Evripidis in the Arcade. The bookstore is located across the first one in a very impressive building and combines a modern but still cozy environment that evokes the atmosphere of a library where everyone is welcome. The same building hosts a friendly café where everybody can enjoy drinks and snacks, while reading their book. In 2012, the third store opened in Kifisia in a building of four floors. You will find thousands of titles in all categories, english books & magazines, school supplies and stationery, art and hobby items, office and PCs supplies, writing tools, personal organization and educational games. On the second floor you can find a modern and friendly café for book and coffe lovers. Book presentations with Greek authors, discussions, seminars, book clubs and events for the little ones are organised every week in both stores.
