This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong QuickBooks expertise who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing a variety of accounting functions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable activities, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end close processes. If you are highly organized, analytical, and committed to accuracy, we encourage you to apply.   What You'll Do   Accounting & General Ledger - Maintain and reconcile the general ledger using QuickBooks. - Prepare and post monthly journal entries. - Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies. - Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. - Reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts. - Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Accounts Payable & Receivable - Process, verify, and enter vendor invoices accurately and timely. - Match purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices to ensure proper authorization and accuracy. - Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, wire transfer, and other electronic payment methods. - Monitor accounts to ensure timely payment of obligations. - Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payment status, and account discrepancies. - Maintain organized records and documentation for all accounting transactions. Compliance & Reporting - Prepare and process annual 1099 filings. - Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. - Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation. - Support special projects and process improvement initiatives. - Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and efficiencies. Qualifications Required - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. - Minimum of 3 years of hands-on QuickBooks experience. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality. - Ability to commute to Brooklyn, NY 11207. Preferred - Experience with month-end close processes. - Experience preparing account reconciliations and financial schedules. - Previous experience in a fast-paced accounting environment.
