To strengthen the company's position in a market characterized by increasing competition and ongoing cost pressure, they are looking now for a director who can further develop the sourcing strategy, strengthen the supplier base, and build an even more competitive supply chain.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a key role in the company's continued development and future success.
The role
As Director, Supply Chain Management, you are responsible for developing a stronger and more competitive supply chain that supports CS WIND Offshore's growth ambitions and market position.
You are the driving force behind the development of the company's sourcing and supplier strategy, with a particular focus on strengthening the supplier base in Asia, increasing transparency across the value chain, and establishing a solid foundation for future growth.
The role spans strategic decision-making and organizational development and requires a leader who can translate ambitions into tangible results. You hold a central position within the organization and serve as a trusted partner to the CEO as well as key stakeholders across Engineering, Production, Project Management, Sales, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Sourcing
Develop and execute the company's supply chain and sourcing strategy
Expand the supplier network and strengthen sourcing capabilities, particularly in Asia
Build strategic supplier partnerships and negotiate key commercial agreements
Performance & Value Creation
Drive cost optimization and improve competitiveness across the value chain
Increase transparency around costs, supplier performance, and sourcing decisions
Strengthen the supply chain resilience and support sustainable business growth
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and develop the Supply Chain organization
Drive transformation initiatives and ensure organizational alignment
Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and key stakeholders across the business
The position is based in Aalborg, and you should expect approximately 30-45 travel days annually.
You have experience from an international manufacturing company where you have been responsible for strengthening competitiveness through procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management. You thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution and are motivated by creating results through transformation, strong collaboration, and sound commercial decisions. At the same time, you are a visible leader who creates direction, engagement, and momentum within the organization.
Further, we expect that you:
Have at least 10 years' experience within Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing
Have led a supply chain, procurement, or sourcing function
Have experience with international supplier markets, including sourcing in Asia
Have successfully driven major organizational or process improvement initiatives
Have solid experience with contract negotiations and commercial agreements
Take a structured and data-driven approach and are proficient in ERP systems and relevant analytical tools
Are professionally fluent in both Danish and English.
Experience from offshore wind, the steel industry, or other project-based manufacturing environments is an advantage, but not a requirement.
