Dalton Motors is located less than 20 minutes from most areas of San Diego. Founded in 1945, Dalton Motors is a family owned and operated business with over 35 dealerships serving major manufacturers including Subaru and others. We have ongoing training for our staff, including training from the manufacturer, new product on-line training, and job specific training by our in-house trainer. Our dealership runs smoothly in large part due to our solid processes and trained, skilled staff, many of whom have been here for twenty years or more.

Position Summary

The sales department porter is responsible for the organization and presentation on the lot, ensuring the lot is clean, well-organized, and ready for customers. The role involves coordinating with sales, maintaining vehicle inventory, and providing high-quality customer service.

QualificationsSome of What You’ll do

Responsible for preparing the new and used vehicles for sale
Delivering the customer’s vehicle to the Sales Associates
Retrieving vehicles from new car area for delivery and parking vehicles
Maintaining a neat, clean, and safe area
Safe and careful handling of customer and dealer owned vehicles

What we are looking for

Must have an acceptable driving record and a valid California driver’s license
Must be able to follow written and verbal directions
Must be able to work well with others
Must have some customer service experience
Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include Saturdays and Sundays
Professional personal appearance
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Possess the energy and drive to accomplish goals, meet deadlines, and find solutions
Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus but Spanish is not a requirement
