Position Overview
Reporting to the Production Scheduling Manager, the Production Planner is responsible for managing customer orders, production scheduling, and inventory planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate and timely execution across both sites. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and ERP skills to coordinate across Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain, respond to changing priorities, and maintain production flow and customer commitments.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have an A.A.S degree in Business Administration or related field and minimum of three years’ experience in scheduling/ planning position in a manufacturing company. Preferred candidates will have bachelor’s degree and/or planning certifications. Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Knowledge and Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), preferably Epicor
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization professionally.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Order & Schedule Management
Enter and manage orders, production jobs, and schedules in ERP
Adjust job dates, quantities, and priorities
Planning & Inventory
Review MRP suggestions and maintain stock levels
Support production planning and schedule execution
Job Tracking
Maintain job paperwork and track order status
Manage expedited and rework jobs; support job close-out
Customer & Change Management
Process order changes and communicate schedule impacts
Collaboration
Partner cross-functionally to meet production and customer needs
Participate in daily production planning and support multi-site coverage
Marginal Functions
Seek and perform alternate, productive tasks to keep busy during unexpected down time
Perform other duties as assigned or requested
