Carpenter Technology develops and manufactures high-performance specialty alloys for aerospace, medical, defense, energy, and semiconductor applications where material failure is not an option.
Our customers operate in extreme environments — intense temperatures, pressure, corrosion, cyclic stress and regulatory constraints. From Kitty Hawk to Mars, we’ve partnered with innovators to push what’s possible: in the heat of an afterburner and the freezing void of space, from inside a heart to the bottom of the ocean, with nanometer precision and miles of scale.
We produce stainless steels, titanium alloys, superalloys, soft magnetic alloys, powder metals, and tool steels engineered to deliver strength, durability, and precision at scale. Products are precision-built to spec in-house, from premium melting and processing to finished bar, billet, wire, strip, plate, powder, and custom forms.
Our materials support:
Aerospace and aviation: High-strength, lightweight alloys for aircraft and spacecraft components operating under extreme thermal and mechanical stress
Medical: Ultra-clean alloys for implants and surgical systems designed to improve patient outcomes with fewer complications and faster recoveries
Energy: Materials engineered for traditional and additive manufacturing to push efficiency and potential in power generation systems
Semiconductor: High-purity alloys for corrosive, contamination-sensitive environments in advanced chip manufacturing
Defense: Next-generation metallurgy enabling stronger, lighter, and longer-lasting mission-critical equipment
With deep materials science expertise, vertically integrated manufacturing, and rigorous quality systems, Carpenter Technology helps customers reduce risk, improve performance, and meet demanding specifications.
