Job Description:
Canaide is currently seeking a highly professional On-site Patient Advocate in Orlando, FL. He/ She will act as the initial contact person to pursue the application processes of the various programs including but not limited to completing the application, following up to obtain all necessary documentation, & maintaining ongoing communication with the patient/guarantors, case managers and or doctors.
Educational Requirement: High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience
Requirement Knowledge:
Principles & practices of social work & case management techniques used in the Medicaid program
Federal regulations & state laws applicable to the Medicaid program
Advanced interviewing skills
Computer applications including proficiency in Microsoft Access, Outlook, Excel, & Word
Record keeping principles & practices including spelling, grammar, & punctuation
Techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic, ethnic & cultural backgrounds
Programs & eligibility requirements for the Social Security Administration, State Medicaid, County Social Services, & other relevant programs
Must be Bilingual
