We are looking for an experienced and passionate Software Development Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Microsoft technologies, software architecture, cloud platforms, and people management, along with a proven track record of delivering scalable software products.

Designation: Software Development Manager
Experience: 10–15 Years
Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor software development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive end-to-end software development, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

  • Define and implement scalable software architecture using modern design principles and best practices.

  • Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality, security, and performance.

  • Oversee Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release management.

  • Establish engineering KPIs and monitor team performance to drive continuous improvement.

  • Promote secure software development practices and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.

  • Guide teams in adopting modern technologies, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.

  • Mentor engineers through technical guidance, career development, and performance management.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 12–15 years of experience in software development.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience leading software development teams.

  • Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams and delivering enterprise applications.

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.

  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs and Microservices.

  • Strong understanding of Software Architecture and design patterns.

  • Experience with SQL Server and database design.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development.

  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

  • Familiarity with authentication protocols such as OAuth/OpenID Connect.

  • Knowledge of secure software development and cybersecurity best practices.

Leadership Skills

  • Strong people management and mentoring abilities.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum project management.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to drive engineering excellence and continuous process improvements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
