Position Summary
Brazosport College seeks an energetic, relationship-driven, and community-focused Part-Time Athletic Development Officer to assist in building the College's newly established NJCAA Division I Athletics program. This position will play a vital role in cultivating community support, securing corporate sponsorships, expanding philanthropic giving, and increasing community engagement for Brazosport College Athletics. This position works collaboratively with Athletics and Foundation staff to coordinate donor engagement and fundraising activities.
Working closely with the Executive Director of Athletics and the Vice President, Advancement & External Affairs, the Athletic Development Officer will cultivate and manage relationships with businesses, alumni, civic organizations, and community leaders to increase philanthropic and financial support, corporate sponsorships, and community engagement for Brazosport College Athletics throughout Brazoria County and the surrounding region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Community Giving and Fundraising
Develop and implement strategies to increase annual giving for Brazosport College Athletics.
Identify and cultivate prospective donors, alumni, parents, and community supporters.
Assist in establishing an athletics booster organization and donor recognition program.
Coordinate fundraising campaigns, donor outreach, and stewardship activities.
Cultivate, solicit, steward, and recognize donors and sponsors to build long-term philanthropic relationships.
Support special fundraising initiatives for scholarships, equipment, and capital projects.
Corporate Sponsorship Development
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward local and regional corporate sponsorships.
Develop sponsorship packages that provide meaningful marketing and community engagement opportunities for business partners.
Maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors to encourage long-term investment.
Collaborate with local chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, and business leaders to expand corporate partnerships.
Assist in negotiating sponsorship agreements and ensuring fulfillment of sponsorship benefits.
Community Engagement
Represent Brazosport College Athletics at community events, civic organizations, networking functions, and business meetings.
Build partnerships with schools, youth sports organizations, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations.
Coordinate community outreach initiatives that increase awareness and support for Brazosport College Athletics.
Promote volunteer opportunities and community involvement with athletics programs.
Event Support
Assist in planning and executing fundraising events, donor receptions, and athletic banquets.
Coordinate sponsor recognition and donor hospitality during athletic events.
Assist with game-day promotions and community engagement activities.
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate donor, sponsor, and prospect records in the College Foundation constituent relationship management (CRM) system.
Track fundraising activity, sponsorship commitments, and donor communications.
Prepare reports regarding fundraising activity, sponsorship revenue, donor engagement and community outreach efforts.
Assist in developing annual fundraising goals and budget projections related to advancement activities.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience in fundraising, business development, sales, marketing, athletics administration, nonprofit development, or related field preferred.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with community leaders and business professionals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel throughout the service area.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in collegiate athletics, higher education, nonprofit fundraising, or corporate sponsorship sales.
Knowledge of donor cultivation and stewardship practices.
Experience coordinating fundraising events.
Experience using donor management or CRM software.
Established relationships within the Brazoria County business community are highly desirable.

Work Schedule
This is a part-time position requiring a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends to support athletic events, donor activities, and community functions.
