BC Steel Buildings is seeking an experienced Senior PEMB Estimator to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a candidate with direct Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) estimating experience who can independently develop accurate building quotations, analyze construction documents, and support our sales and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.

We offer a collaborative environment where estimators work closely with engineering, drafting, project management, manufacturing, and sales teams to deliver successful projects.
The Senior PEMB Estimator is responsible for reviewing project documents, analyzing customer requirements, developing complete building quotations, and ensuring projects are accurately scoped and competitively priced. This role serves as a technical resource for internal teams and customers and plays a critical role in driving company growth and profitability.
Review architectural drawings, structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Analyze project requirements and determine applicable building systems and design criteria.
Develop complete PEMB quotations utilizing Metal Building Software (MBS).
Prepare material takeoffs and pricing calculations.
Evaluate loading requirements, applicable building codes, and project-specific criteria.
Coordinate with engineering, drafting, project management, and sales teams.
Develop value-engineering solutions when appropriate.
Review and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing.
Prepare proposal packages and bid documentation.
Respond to technical questions from customers and internal stakeholders.
Support sales personnel during project development and customer negotiations.
Maintain estimating records and project documentation.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
• Minimum 3-5 years of estimating experience within the PEMB industry
• Experience using Metal Building Software (MBS)
• Strong understanding of pre-engineered metal building systems and components
• Ability to independently develop complete building quotations
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural construction documents
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• 5+ years of PEMB estimating experience
• Experience with MBS XL or other PEMB-specific software platforms
• Previous experience working for a PEMB manufacturer
• Knowledge of ASCE loading requirements and applicable building codes
• Experience with cranes, mezzanines, insulation systems, and specialty building applications
• Bluebeam experience
• Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related education
• Accurate and timely project quotations
• Minimal estimating errors and revisions
• Effective collaboration with sales and operations teams
• Strong understanding of PEMB systems and applications
• Ability to independently manage estimating workload
• Positive contribution to revenue growth and project success
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, PEMB industry knowledge, and demonstrated estimating capability.
Candidates with direct PEMB estimating experience and Metal Building Software (MBS) experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Range $60K-$80K
