Multi award winning managed hosted solution provider Base Media Cloud is seeking a Senior Account Director responsible for some of our largest Enterprise clients.

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Account Director to lead the relationships with some of our largest global clients in the News Media, Brands, Media & Entertainment & Creative Agencies sectors. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and key partner to your customer, responsible for deepening relationships across the organization, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring long-term success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams within Base Media Cloud —including Sales, Marketing, and Customer enablement teams—to service client needs and business goals.
Your responsibilities will include identifying and pursuing opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, developing tailored strategies that align with customer objectives, and ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience throughout the entire lifecycle. A core part of your role will be to monitor account health, proactively address potential issues, and drive initiatives that support long-term customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. By building strong, value-driven partnerships, you will contribute directly to the growth and success of both the customer and our business.
- A proven track record as an Account Director
- Experience managing large, high-value accounts with multi-regional presence, ideally in a SaaS, cloud services, or technology environment
- Good technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and effectively communicate technical concepts to a diverse customer base
- Experienced in leading complex negotiations, renewals, and service agreements with enterprise clients
- Good understanding of the media technology landscape and the ability to articulate the value of our solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, communicate technical concepts in non-technical language, to resolve conflicts, misunderstandings and disagreement constructively
- Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and develop creative solutions to drive growth
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues or problems, gather requirements and proactively enable the delivery of solutions
- Act as the global strategic lead for the company’s most significant enterprise clients, overseeing all aspects of the relationship across regions and business units
- Build and maintain trusted executive-level relationships across the client's global organization, becoming a strategic advisor aligned to their long-term goals and digital transformation initiatives
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive global account plan, including stakeholder mapping, growth targets, risk mitigation strategies, and regional expansion opportunities
- Serve as the primary point of contact ensuring seamless communication, effective issue resolution, and high levels of satisfaction across the managed service provided
- Ensure operational excellence and service delivery alignment across all territories, proactively managing escalations, contractual obligations, and SLAs
- Lead strategic business reviews and executive briefings, travelling to region as required to provide insights, data, and recommendations that support the client’s evolving needs and measure mutual success
- Direct and collaborate with Customer Enablement Resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality onboarding and service training programs aligned with client needs
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the client organisation, including global upsell, cross-sell, and innovation initiatives, with a focus on long-term value creation
- Negotiate complex, multi-region agreements and renewals, ensuring commercial outcomes that drive mutual value and long-term partnership
