Lead the strategic direction of enterprise-wide cybersecurity, governance, and regulatory compliance across IT and OT environments. Establish secure-by-design practices for BESS site delivery and manage cyber resilience activities including incident response and risk management.
Requires extensive experience in shaping cybersecurity strategies and embedding secure architecture across complex IT and OT operating environments. Must be capable of leading high-performing teams and managing multi-jurisdiction regulatory compliance and budgets.

As a Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Engineer, you’ll be joining the team responsible for delivering cyber maturity uplifts across IT and OT environments, strengthening regulatory compliance readiness and embedding secure-by-design practices into new BESS site delivery and operations, improving resilience and reducing risk across a growing, distributed critical infrastructure portfolio.
Building on this momentum, the position will lead the strategic direction of cybersecurity across Akaysha to establish enterprise-wide security strategy, governance, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions in an increasingly complex threat landscape.

This role provides the flexibility to be based at Akaysha’s Melbourne (HQ) in a hybrid capacity – spend time in the office, and at home.
Participation in an on-call roster to provide after-hours support for critical cyber incidents and urgent operational matters in accordance with company policies and incident response procedures is a requirement of this role.
