I am a software technology leader with nearly 20 years of professional experience that includes engineering team management, defining system architecture, key/high risk component implementation, and R&D. In my current role as CTO of Vivace Health Solutions I lead development of a platform to support the concept of Artificial Intuition as a platform - capturing domain expert knowledge (intuition) within a collaborative forum into computable formats to aid/inform downstream data engineering pipelines and artificial intelligence processes (data labeling, machine learning, prediction, detection, NLP). The first realization of this platform is in healthcare (Sepsis, ARDS, etc.) to detect and predict acute conditions and track treatment compliance in real time. The platform uses containerization technology and is cloud-based (AWS) or deployable on-premise, built using polyglot language and machine learning/data engineering technologies (Graph Databases, Data Flow Platforms, TensorFlow, Apache Spark, R, H2O, Java, Scala, Python, etc.). Prior to becoming a CTO I have served in software engineer, architect, and technical lead roles, with a successful track record of building and deploying software systems into production across military, intelligence, retail and healthcare domains. I enjoy the challenge of implementing, deploying, and supporting production grade software products as well as defining methods for development and DevOps organizations. I hold an Active Secret Clearance and earned my BA in Chemistry from University of Rochester.
