I’m an Engineering Manager with over 11 years of experience leading 3 teams in the FinTech sector. At N26, I manage three teams working on integrating data science models and building platforms for Financial Crime Prevention, focusing on real-time transaction monitoring and KYC checks. I’ve successfully improved fraud detection rates by incorporating advanced data science models into our systems. I also ensure that our projects meet BAFIN regulatory requirements and are delivered on time, even under tight deadlines. I’m deeply committed to team development, regularly mentoring and supporting my team members to enhance their performance and career growth. Early engineering time at N26, I redesigned the architecture between payment systems and transaction checks using Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), reducing system incidents, and developed and integrated complex real-time transaction rules using Apache Flink to detect fraud more effectively. I’m passionate about building strong teams, having conducted over 80 technical and behavioural interviews to hire top talent.
