Seasoned and passionate Software / Machine Learning / Research Engineer, with a hands-on approach to technical leadership. With over 20 years of professional experience building solutions, the last 15 years have been focused on Data, Distributed Processing, and AI. I’m driven by curiosity, challenges, and an uncontrollable desire to make life better by optimizing stuff. Such passion led me to pursue an MSc and a PhD in Graph Theory / Algorithms / Optimization, all while working full-time. Currently serving as the Head of Research and Ecosystem at the IOG (Internet of GPUs) io.net Foundation, leading initiatives that accelerate innovation in Decentralized AI and Secure Computing. Focus areas include Confidential Computing, Homomorphic Encryption, Collaborative Inference, and Federated Training. Additionally, developing open-source tools and fostering integration partnerships to facilitate scalable, decentralized computation across io.net's global GPU network. Previous roles include: - SVP of Engineering at io.net (the "Airbnb" for GPUs): connecting idle GPUs worldwide to meet the increasing demand for AI computation - the world's largest decentralized GPU cloud with over 300k verified GPUs.
