I have lead Data Engineering initiatives at Influential (the largest influencer marketing company in the world, by revenue), Currency (a FinTech company specializing in financing for large equipment expenditures such as heavy machinery, trucks & aircraft) and MedMen (at the time the largest cannabis company in the United States with a $1.6-billion valuation). At these companies I have been involved in all aspects of the data platform: data engineering, modeling, and analytics. I have built data pipelines, provided KPI and sales reports to executives, provided sales commission reports to accounting, and oversaw the architecture of new operational databases. I enjoy working with data warehouses, improving pipelines, making sure data is available in a format that is easy to analyze, and meeting with stakeholders to ensure the business needs are met. I specialize in modernizing data systems to use more efficient ingestion methods and prefer to leverage modern data tools to reduce costs and avoid bottlenecks. I have experience in Python, Apache Airflow, Airbyte, dbt, Databricks, Redshift, Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, Kubernetes, various SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS and Azure cloud architecture, and I have been an Apache Airflow open-source contributor.
