About
Hi, I’m Adna Elmi! I’m a high school senior with a deep-rooted passion for healthcare and public health, driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Through the Running Start program at South Seattle College, I am pursuing an AA in Kinesiology and Exercise Science alongside my high school diploma. This dual enrollment journey has given me a foundation in human health, strengthened my academic skills, and fueled my commitment to pursuing a career in healthcare. As the co-founder of Young Leaders in Medicine at Chief Sealth International High School, I am proud to have built a space where students can come together to explore healthcare fields, gain practical skills, and inspire each other. In this club, we’ve organized hands-on workshops, career panels, and health awareness campaigns to give students firsthand experiences and insights into the medical field. I believe that empowering young people with these opportunities not only prepares us for our futures but also builds a community focused on health and service. My passion for healthcare goes beyond academics; it’s rooted in a genuine love for helping others, a fascination with how the body works, and a commitment to making healthcare accessible and preventive. I am particularly drawn to the areas of preventive care and community health, where I hope to make an impact by improving health outcomes and promoting wellness through education and resources. Looking forward, my goal is to pursue a career that combines clinical work with public health initiatives, so I can contribute to both individual patient care and broader health solutions. I’m eager to connect with mentors, healthcare professionals, and anyone who shares a commitment to advancing health and wellness. Please feel free to reach out—I would love to connect, learn, and explore opportunities to grow in this field.
