Adam Seeman

I have been working full-time as a software engineer since August 2014. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS with Distinction in Computer Science and a BA in Film Studies in Production from Hofstra University. I worked for Ocrolus, LLC for 7 years, serving as Principal Software Engineer and then Director of Technology. At Ocrolus, I was responsible for creating a system for capturing key value information from any document type. Additionally, adding a new document type did not require any work from engineering, allowing Ocrolus to quickly add the necessary types to help our partners process PPP loans in 2020. Furthermore, I implemented an analytics system to give Sales an additional revenue stream on top of the document extraction product. Later, I improved the system to reduce analytic development time from over a week to 1 hour. As Director of Technology, I directly managed a team of engineers and two managerial reports. I helped oversee the migration from Python 2 to Python 3 as well as collaborated with Operations on improving document capture performance. After Ocrolus, I worked for Zurp where I implemented the features necessary to a modern banking application: PDF statement generation, compliant monthly interest generation and credit reporting. I worked with vendors to add both direct and early deposit to the application.
