Abhijit Hota

I am a graduate from Carnegie Mellon University specializing in Embedded Software Engineering and actively seeking full-time opportunities in the industry. My core focus at CMU has been in the field of embedded systems, distributed computing and Internet-of-Things, which I have strengthened through relevant courses and experience with projects and research work. My aspirations to pursue a career in software for embedded systems is driven by my firm belief in the potential of modern technology and the onset of Internet of Things (IoT) to move the world towards betterment. My education goes beyond just academic knowledge. As both the Project Manager and Lead Developer for a project to create a physical IoT test-bed @ CMU, I got the hands-on experience of the executing an industry grade project all the way from initiation through delivery stages of a software engineering project. My collaboration with multi-cultural teams on the capstone project and various other academic ventures and activities gave me the exposure and skills to fit in diverse environments. I have also been involved in various academic and non-academic involvements outside of my coursework. I have been a Teaching Assistant for 2 courses at CMU to get the 360-degree learning experience. I played the role of Professional Development Lead in my department. I also served as the Studio Manager to manage logistics for all capstone projects in the program.
