About this role

TextQL is building an agentic data lakehouse that delivers trustworthy answers from messy enterprise data. As a Senior Software Engineer, Platform, you’ll join the platform team shaping the data foundation that enables AI-driven analytics at scale, without heavy schema migrations or data movement.

What youll do

  • Develop the agentic semantic layer to give agents the context for queries and the guardrails to prove results.
  • Create orchestration systems for distributed agents, including API integrations, rate limits, OAuth passthrough, model routers, scheduling, and token optimization.
  • Design AI-centric ETL pipelines for data lakehouses to enable large-scale analytics with minimal data engineering resources.

What TextQL is looking for

  • 4+ years of practical experience as a backend or platform engineer building scalable distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Golang; ability to contribute across infrastructure, services, or frontend.
  • Experience with gRPC/ConnectRPC, Trino, Kubernetes, DuckDB, and PostgreSQL in a distributed data platform environment.
  • Strong CS fundamentals; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable experience.
  • Experience at early-stage startups or building products from zero to one.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, data engineering, data modeling, and big data technologies.
