About this role

telli is seeking a Software Engineer to join a small, fast-moving team where you’ll own projects end-to-end and shape the product alongside customers. You’ll influence core architecture, ship features with velocity, and tackle real customer problems in an AI-first, communications-enabled environment.

What youll do

  • Work closely with customers to understand problems and design product experiences that solve them.
  • Build scalable backend infrastructure to handle thousands of AI phone calls a day.
  • Create intuitive user experiences that make sense in an AI-first world.
  • Own high-stakes projects end-to-end, from concept through production and post-release support.

What telli is looking for

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong PostgreSQL experience.
  • Experience designing scalable backend architectures and making core product/architectural decisions.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Node, and Python.
  • Experience with scalable async processing or real-time processing systems.
  • Ability to own projects end-to-end from concept to production and post-release support.
  • Strong collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams to translate problems into product experiences.
  • Has developed a Product 0 to 1.
  • Familiarity with Temporal.io, Twilio, or Modal.
  • Experience building products for AI-first or communications-enabled platforms.
