About this role

This Senior EDI Developer will design and implement enterprise EDI integrations, lead technical execution of integration and API projects, and provide hands-on mentorship to distributed teams to ensure reliable, scalable data exchange across the supply chain. The role is critical for maintaining high-quality, production-ready EDI solutions and resolving complex operational issues.

What you'll do

  • Perform solution-level technical analysis, design, and implementation of EDI integrations.
  • Lead day-to-day technical execution of integration and API projects.
  • Translate solution designs into production-ready implementations.
  • Ensure code quality and adherence to development standards.
  • Work with globally distributed teams while providing technical leadership.
  • Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide technical guidance.

What Supply Chain Client is looking for

  • 8–10 years of experience with IBM Sterling Integrator (v5.2.6 or above).
  • Proven experience in EDI development, maintenance, support, and monitoring.
  • Business process development experience for integration workflows.
  • Mapping expertise with X12, EDIFACT, XML, cXML, CSV, JSON, and flat file formats.
  • Familiarity with FTP, SFTP, AS2, and VAN communication protocols.
  • Hands-on skills with DB2, SQL, XML, XSLT, Web Services, and REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of EDI architecture, encryption, authentication, monitoring, scalability, and availability.
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies.
  • Employment Type: W-2 Contract; Location: 100% Remote (USA); Rate: Up to $60/hour on W-2.
  • Preferred work authorization: US Citizen or Green Card (other work-authorized candidates may also be considered).
