LATAM - Senior Mobile SDK Engineer
About this role
Simula is an a16z-backed AI ad network building the monetization layer for the next generation of consumer AI platforms. In this senior engineering role, you will own the architecture and delivery of the company's critical mobile Ad SDK, directly shaping core revenue infrastructure at the founding stage. Your work will drive OMID certification, privacy compliance, and production monitoring across iOS and Android in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
What youll do
- Design and build production-ready native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) Ad SDKs supporting various ad formats.
- Integrate the IAB Open Measurement SDK (OMID) and manage the full ad session lifecycle through certification.
- Partner directly with verification vendors such as MOAT, IAS, and DoubleVerify to achieve validation and resolve signal discrepancies.
- Implement privacy and consent compliance frameworks including TCF v2.2, GPP, ATT (iOS 14.5+), and COPPA.
- Monitor live ad traffic in production to ensure measurement accuracy and signal integrity.
- Distribute SDKs via CocoaPods/SPM (iOS) and Maven Central (Android) alongside clean publisher integration documentation.
- Drive OMID certification submission in Month 1 and achieve full certification within Q1.
What Simula is looking for
- 3+ years of mobile SDK or library development experience, specifically focused on SDKs rather than general app development.
- Strong native proficiency in both iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin).
- Prior experience building or contributing to an ad SDK.
- Hands-on OMID integration experience.
- Experience working with verification vendors or viewability measurement standards.
- Deep understanding of the mobile ad lifecycle: request, bid, render, impression, click, conversion.
- Experience preparing an SDK for OMID certification through the IAB Tech Lab audit process is a plus.
- Background in ad networks, SSPs, DSPs, or ad mediation platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with VAST video ad standards and native video player integration (AVPlayer/ExoPlayer) is a plus.
- Experience supporting high-scale production SDKs at 1M+ DAU is a plus.
