About this role
Poke.com is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join a fast-growing, early-stage team and help build real AI-powered products for millions of users. You’ll work on backend AI services and partner integrations, collaborating with top engineers from quant finance and research labs to scale impact quickly.
What youll do
- Build and scale backend services for our AI assistant.
- Develop and manage backend integrations with partners like Oura, Strava, and Ray-Ban.
- Optimize high-cost models from providers like Anthropic and OpenAI.
- Collaborate with engineers from leading quant shops and university labs.
- Potentially engage in customer-facing interactions with partners, depending on interest and skill set.
What Poke.com is looking for
- 2+ years of experience in AI/Backend engineering positions.
- Proficiency in Typescript and Python.
- Experience in quant finance or competitive programming (IOI Medalist).
- Strong CS fundamentals.
- Ability to work in-person in Palo Alto, Monday to Friday.
