AI & Backend Engineer
About this role
Pluno is seeking an AI & Backend Engineer to join our product and AI teams. You’ll own end-to-end features across the full stack, shaping AI-powered capabilities and scaling architectures that power our agents. This role matters because you’ll push the boundaries of current-gen AI systems to deliver robust, scalable solutions for our users.
What youll do
- Shape & implement full-stack product features.
- Develop and enhance Pluno’s AI features.
- Work effectively with the team to plan, design, and launch new features.
- Collaborate on making internal work processes AI-native.
What Pluno is looking for
- 1+ years of experience in backend or AI engineering; new grads welcome or up to 4 years of work experience.
- Experience designing end-to-end architectures and building AI-powered data/model pipelines.
- Hands-on experience integrating with OpenAI models and prompt engineering.
- Heavy user of AI coding agents (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor); demonstrated learnings or ideas for improving AI coding agent setups.
- Has successfully built backend systems or AI to production.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and/or Firestore (GCP).
- Has built hobby projects outside of work involving LLMs or related AI topics.
