Limetax is building Germany’s most modern accounting and tax advisory group by acquiring profitable firms and transforming them with an AI-powered operating platform. As a Founding Engineer – Product & Process, you’ll turn real-world tax advisory work into executable, scalable systems and own the end-to-end transition from prototype to production. This role directly shapes how work flows, where automation adds leverage, and how complex, regulated processes scale across firms.

What youll do

• Analyze workflows across accounting, payroll, reporting, and client communication.
• Identify bottlenecks, handovers, failure modes, and unnecessary manual work.
• Rapidly design and build MEPs / MVPs to automate and validate workflows.
• Implement workflow systems using n8n, Temporal, or custom backend services.
• Collaborate closely with tax advisors and engineers in tight feedback loops.
• Own the transition from prototype → hardened production workflow.
• Decide deliberately when UI matters — and when it’s just an implementation detail.

What limetax is looking for

• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin, Germany to operate from the Berlin office.
• Significant experience designing and shipping workflow-heavy or automation-driven systems.
• Experience with tax/advisory or professional services workflows; domain knowledge of tax/accounting processes.
• Familiarity with building workflow systems using n8n, Temporal, or similar backend services.
• Strong CS fundamentals and a product-minded, deeply technical mindset.
