About this role

Kapa.ai seeks a hands-on full-stack Software Engineer to collaborate with the founding team and research engineers, helping scale the Kapa RAG engine and expand the analytics platform. You’ll contribute across Python-based backend infrastructure, React frontends, and client integrations to empower customers with robust, data-driven capabilities. Your work will directly impact how we unlock new data sources and deploy Kapa for real-world use.

What youll do

  • Collaborate directly with the founding team and research engineers to define and implement features.
  • Scale the infrastructure powering the Kapa RAG engine using Python.
  • Experiment with new features in the Kapa analytics platform (React + Python).
  • Develop and maintain client integrations to deploy Kapa for customers (React + Python).
  • Enable access to new kinds of data for Kapa using Python.
  • Maintain our React SDK.

What kapa.ai is looking for

  • Experience working in a startup.
  • Has one marker of excellence (examples: notable companies, education, side projects, or other standout achievements).
  • Strong CS fundamentals; degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience working on complex systems in both backend and frontend (Python + React).
  • An affinity for machine learning, deep learning (including LLMs), and natural language processing.
