The role
Are you a recent graduate ready to grow into a future leader? McCain Foods is hiring Production Management Trainees (PMTs) to join our Manufacturing Leadership Development Program, a hands-on, fast-track opportunity built to develop the next generation of plant and operations leaders.

During this two-year rotational program, you’ll gain real-world experience across our operations, from raw materials to finished products, working hands-on on the plant floor with senior leaders and subject matter experts. You won’t just learn how our plants run, you’ll help lead them.

What will you do?
As a PMT, you’ll rotate through key areas of our manufacturing operations and take on real leadership responsibilities:

• Learn manufacturing from farm → factory → fork
• Lead teams on the production floor
• Complete structured training, coaching, and mentorship assignments
• Step into shifted front-line leader supervisory roles
• Drive continuous improvement and productivity projects
• Support safety initiatives toward zero incidents
• Partner with teams across quality, packaging, processing, engineering, and more
• Get opportunity to travel and rotate within McCain’s manufacturing network

What you will bring
We’re looking for motivated problem-solvers who want to lead and learn in a fast-paced environment.

• A bachelor’s degree (graduated less than two years ago), with a relevant link to production such as: Industrial engineering, Manufacturing engineering, Food Technology, Technical Business Administration, Mechanical engineering with focus on manufacturing/operations, Food Technology (WUR)
• Proficient in Dutch and English
• Leadership experience (school, work, sports, or internships)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Interest in manufacturing, food production, or operations
• willingness to work rotating shifts
• Comfortable working in a production environment
• A passion for continuous improvement and innovation
• Flexibility to relocate for career growth

Nice to have:

• Experience in food manufacturing, engineering, operations, or project leadership
• Familiarity with Lean or Continuous Improvement principles

Employment conditions

• Salary starting at €3.386,- gross per month (40 hours per week)
• 8% holiday allowance and 8.33% end of year bonus
• 25 vacation days and 11 additional leave days (ATV)
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer (maximum of €21 per day)
• Pension plan with McCain paying two-thirds of the contribution
• Free fries
