Roles

Support the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality pastry and bakery products while maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and operational standards within the Pastry Kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and mise-en-place for pastry production.

Assist in the preparation and presentation of pastries, desserts, and bakery products according to recipes and quality standards.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.

Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

Properly store ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.

Monitor and maintain pastry equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen tools.

Support stock control, inventory checks, and receiving of goods when required.

Report any food quality, hygiene, or equipment issues to supervisors immediately.

Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining product quality.

Participate in training sessions and continuously develop pastry skills.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastry Chef or Sous Chef.

Requirements

Diploma or vocational qualification in Culinary Arts, Pastry, Bakery, or a related field.

Previous experience in pastry, bakery, or dessert preparation is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of pastry ingredients, baking techniques, and food safety standards.

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Basic English communication is preferred.
