We are looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods and desserts, ensuring that each item meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a crucial role in enhancing our dessert offerings and creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Pastry Preparation: Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and breads according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Recipe Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert recipes and seasonal specials, experimenting with flavors and techniques to delight our guests.
• Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished products, ensuring that all pastries meet hygiene and safety standards as well as our kitchen’s specifications.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by tracking ingredient usage, managing supplies, and placing orders as necessary to ensure the pastry station is well-stocked.
• Station Maintenance: Keep your work area clean and organized throughout the shift, following proper sanitation practices to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the line cooks on the savory side to coordinate plating and service logistics during busy periods, ensuring a smooth flow of food to the dining area.
• Creativity in Presentation: Ensure that all desserts are artistically plated and presented to enhance visual appeal before serving to guests.
• Additional Duties: Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management to ensure efficient restaurant operations.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Previous experience as a pastry cook or in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant or bakery is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to follow recipes and maintain high standards of quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as our restaurant operates seven days a week.
