Essential Functions:
· Support daily production activities, Department Initiatives, Support Predictive/Preventative Maintenance Program and Continuous Improvement efforts.
· Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
· Assist Operators and OTL’s with repairs, adjustments and setup to maximize machine efficiency.
· Use 5 why to address inefficiency’s; working with Operators, OTL’s Production Line Mechanics and Supervisors.
· Fully understand the set-up, changeover, and operation of all production and process equipment for overall effectiveness.
· Safely and proficiently operate necessary equipment to make improvements and repairs .i.e. welders, milling machines, drill presses, hand tools, power tools and other shop equipment.
· Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures during production.
· Assemble, install or repair electrical devices, pipe systems, pumps, machinery or equipment.
· Assist production in exploring new and better ways to maximize line speeds and increase uptime including new design, lay-outs, reduce or eliminate change-over time, waste reduction ideas, and other process improvements.
· Support Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) Activities and Baseline/Centerline Activities.
· Monitor visual control board and take action as needed to address inefficiencies.
· Monitor spare and change parts inventory for a designated production lines, and assure proper availability of parts to maintain the lines up-time.
· Assist with creating and implementing key point sheets for Maintenance task and job operations.
· Coordinate and Perform preventative maintenance activities at a high level, with minimal line interruptions.
· Maximize machine efficiency through good preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
· Monitor production schedule to perform work order activities during changeovers or scheduled downtime.
· Monitor MC Express.
· Communicate progress of team to all Supervisors.
· Work with team members from other shifts to address issues common to each line.
· Good attendance record (less than 2 absences).
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
