Growth Lead

San Francisco · On-site$90k – $130k + Equity

About this role

Ergo is looking for a Growth Lead to build its growth engine from the ground up alongside the founder. This is a high-ownership role for an entrepreneurial generalist who thrives in early-stage ambiguity and wants to invent scalable, exponential growth playbooks rather than run standard marketing programs.

What you'll do

  • Lead growth initiatives spanning SEO, paid ads, content strategy, new outbound channels, educational series, and launch videos.
  • Plan and execute creative growth stunts and unconventional campaigns that cut through standard outbound noise.
  • Design campaigns and allocate budget alongside the founder, using attribution analysis to identify and scale what works.
  • Build outbound motions, ABM campaigns, partnerships, and community programs from the ground up.
  • Measure results analytically, iterate quickly, and double down on the highest-impact activities.

What Ergo is looking for

  • Proven experience growing a seed-stage company and navigating the ambiguity of early-stage scaling.
  • A track record of writing content, building narratives, and converting them into real pipelines.
  • High agency and the ability to own projects end to end without waiting for permission.
  • A creative, experimental mindset excited to test non-standard outbound, partnerships, and unconventional ideas.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure outcomes, think about growth like an engineer, and optimize fast.
  • Strategic thinking paired with tactical execution; former founders are a plus but not required.
