Forward Deployed Engineer, DACH (Munich)

Dataleap is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer based in Munich to embed with our largest DACH customers and help them become AI-native. You’ll work alongside the Enterprise AI Transformation Lead to scope, build, and ship production-grade agents and integrations that deliver measurable customer value and feed back into our product.

What you'll do

• Be the engineer on the ground at major DACH accounts, partnering closely with the Enterprise AI Transformation Lead.
• Embed on-site with customers, running workshops, hackathons, and implementation sprints.
• Scope, build, integrate, debug, and teach teams to adopt production agents and workflows.
• Ship end-to-end high-leverage use cases: complex agents, custom integrations, MCP servers, and multi-step workflows.
• Sit with customer CTOs and platform teams as a technical peer and sparring partner.
• Leave behind systems the customer can own and operate independently.
• When platform limits appear, work directly with our engineering team and often write fixes yourself.
• Push our product forward by identifying blockers and implementing customer-driven improvements.
• Automate your own work by building agents that eliminate manual tasks.
• Be based in Munich or ready to relocate, with significant travel across DACH expected.

What Dataleap is looking for

• 3+ years of engineering experience (we also prioritize energy, values, and slope over strict year counts).
• Strong full-stack engineering skills with the ability to go deep; Go experience is a bonus.
• Practical AI engineering experience: shipped agentic systems, tool-use loops, and LLM features that work under load.
• Comfortable scoping complex customer use cases quickly and delivering fast, pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Founder or early-employee experience is a strong plus.
• High agency, high energy, sharp communication, low ego, and strong ownership.
• Native-level German proficiency.
• Visa US citizenship/visa not required.
