Product Marketing Engineer (Mechanical)

San Francisco · On-site$130k – $200k

About this role

Cosmon is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to translate hands-on engineering experience into product marketing that builds trust with technical buyers. Youll work cross-functionally to produce case studies, enablement assets, and deep technical content that helps mechanical engineers evaluate, adopt, and get full ROI from Cosmon's platform.

What you'll do

  • Lead creation of case studies and technical proof points that demonstrate Cosmon's value to mechanical engineers.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate complex technical wins into persuasive narratives.
  • Own customer onboarding materials and anticipate technical friction points during early adoption.
  • Create sales enablement assets (POC guides, Champion Kits, master decks) that convert technically-skeptical prospects.
  • Maintain post-sales knowledge resources like the Nexus Knowledge Base and step-by-step product guides.
  • Draft 2–3 deep-dive technical blog posts per quarter and lead newsletter copy in partnership with Growth.
  • Act as the internal lead for website messaging and evolve product positioning over time.
  • Support webinars and demand-generation efforts with engineering-first content and credibility.

What Cosmon is looking for

  • Strong Mechanical Engineering background (required): BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years working as a mechanical engineer, with direct experience of ME workflows and pain points.
  • Ability to translate technical problems into clear value for customers and executives; formal product marketing experience is a plus but not required.
  • Business acumen to connect technical depth to bottom-line outcomes; MBA helpful but not required.
  • Proof-obsessed mindset: preference for "show, don't tell" and ownership over final content performance.
  • Examples of technical work and explanatory writing or documentation (internal write-ups, presentations, or other materials) that demonstrate your ability to communicate engineering concepts and impact.
