About the Company
Southeastern Container is one of the largest PET converters, providing PET bottles, PET preforms, and HDPE pallets for the Coca-Cola bottling system. It all began in the early ’80s when a group of Coca-Cola bottlers wanted to purchase a key raw material, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packaging, at a lower cost. They envisioned using technology and innovative processes to enhance and create better packaging. This common thread united the group, and in 1982, Southeastern Container, Inc. (SEC) was founded as a cooperative, allowing the members to purchase products at cost. Our first plant, which included injection molding and blow molding, opened in 1982 in Enka, NC. Over the years, adding new bottler members resulted in significant growth for our team. Today, we provide preforms and bottles to over 50 Coca-Cola operations in the US and Canada in 34 states and six Canadian provinces, stretching from Quebec to Florida and as far west as Montana.
