Ward Reid Sr.’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to open a one-pump gasoline service station at Lake Avenue and Clinton Street in Lockport, NY. By the turn of the century, and with two significant convenience chain acquisitions, K&K Food Mart stores in 2002 and Crosby Dairy Mart stores in 2004; Reid Stores, Inc. was established to focus on the direct operation of company owned and operated convenience stores. In 2006, these stores converged to operate under one cohesive moniker, Crosby’s. In 2010, with the acquisition of Erie Petroleum, Crosby’s gained further reach into Northwestern Pennsylvania.
