The ideal candidate will be a leader who can write policy, build systems, and recruit a team. Responsibilities include a visible presence across campus, conducting patrols and facility checks, developing and maintaining safety plans, running drills, training staff in situational awareness, serving as the on-site security lead, and interfacing with local emergency responders. Required qualifications include significant professional experience in law enforcement, military, or protective services, with strong decision-making under pressure, and the ability to meet applicable Tennessee requirements for armed protective services. Responsibilities include providing tutoring, lesson planning, student assessment, collaboration, and communication. The role requires experience teaching Science to K–12 students. Strong candidates will have strong communication, organization, and classroom/group management skills.
